NWA 75 Night One Results (8/26/23): Kamille vs. Natalia Markova, Matt Cardona, More

The National Wrestling Alliance presented the first night of NWA 75, their 75th anniversary show, on August 26.

In the main event, Kamille defended the NWA World Women’s Championship against Kamille. Matt Cardona, Kerry Morton, and other stars also competed on the show.

Pre-Show

  • Robert “Ego” Anthony def. “Magic” Jake Dumas
    • The feed froze and cut out, so the stream missed a chunk of the match, including the finish.
  • In an interview, NWA World Women’s M95 (Madi Wrenkowski and Missa Kate) preview their match against Pretty Empowered.
  • NWA World Women’s Champion Kamille is interviewed backstage. She shares her thoughts on her match against Natalia Markova.
  • Daisy Kill & Talos def. The Fixers LLC (Wrecking Ball Legursky & Jay Bradley)
    • With the win, Daisy Kill and Talos earned a shot at the NWA United States Tag Team Championship at NWA 75 Night Two. The champions, Country Gentlemen, came out and confronted Daisy Kill and Talos after the match.
  • In an interview, Father James Mitchell discusses Max the Impaler’s return and their match against Kenzie Paige. After Mitchell leaves, Pollo del Mar walks up, and she is asked about her relationship with “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason. Pollo says they dreamed of Mason winning the NWA National Heavyweight Championship. Pollo says that when Mason wins the title tonight, they will realize their dreams together.
  • Zyon (with Austin Idol) def. Jordan Clearwater
    • Austin Idol interfered and hit Clearwater with his cane. Zyon locked in a submission for the win.
  • In an interview, Vampiro hypes up NWA World Tag Team Champions La Rebelion and their match with Blunt Force Trauma.
  • Jubilee Jamboree match for an NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship match: Jack Cartwheel def. Alex Taylor (with Danny Dealz) and Eric Jackson and Koa Laxamana (with Kallies) and Matt Vine

Main Show

  • NWA World Women’s Television Championship: Max the Impaler (with James Mitchell) def. Kenzie Paige to win the title.
    • Max overpowers Kenzie early and often. Paige rallies, but Max slams her onto the barricade. Max slams Kenzie and pins her to win the title.
  • NWA National Heavyweight Championship: “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason def. Kratos and Odinson to win the vacant title.
    • The three powerhouses wage war throughout the bout. Kratos dives over the top rope onto both of his opponents. Pollo Del Mar gets involved, and Mason slams her with the Thrillride. Kratos slams Mason. Odison takes out Kratos, and Mason slams Odinson with the Thrillride.
  • Joe Alonzo def. Homicide
    • The match quickly spills out of the ring. Homicide slams Alonzo on the floor, hits him with a chair and drives him into the barricade. Alonzo rallies with a springboard cutter. He slams Homicide face-first into the mat. Alonzo sends Homicide face-first into a chair and slams him for a two-count. Homicide drops Alonzo with a Koji cutter. He spikes Alonzo with a piledriver. They keep going back and forth, and Alonzo gets the win by rolling Homicide up and pulling on his tights.
  • The Brothers of Funstruction (Yabo & Ruffo the Clown) (with Violent J) def. Magnum Muscle (Dak Draper & Mims)
    • Magnum Muscle controls the action early on. The clowns gain the upper hand. They persevere through a brief rally by Magnum Muscle. Violent J talks some trash at ringside. Draper grabs him, but the Brothers of Funstruction double-team Mims and pin him.
  • NWA World Television Champion Thom Latimer shares his thoughts ahead of his match with Chris Adonis on Sunday night.
  • NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship: Colby Corino (with Jamie Stanley) def. Kerry Morton (c) to win the title.
    • The two stars go back and forth. Morton slams Corino onto the apron and takes control. He grounds Corino, but the challenger rallies. He dives to the outside, but Morton pulls Stanley in front of him. Corino gains the upper hand and hits a tiger feint kick. Morton catches Corino with a knee strike. Corino slams Morton off the top and drops him with a DDT for the win.
  • A Matter of Respect – No Disqualification: Tim Storm vs. Jax Dane (with Chris Silvio, Esq.)
    • The two stars feel each other out. Dane overpowers Storm and suplexes him. Storm stays down on the mat, and the referee calls for the bell. Officials check on Storm. The medical team comes out. The broadcast team says Storm is on his feet, but the camera doesn’t show him.
  • In an interview, Matt Cardona comments on his return to NWA and previews his match.
  • Burke Invitational Gauntlet for NWA World Women’s Championship Match: Kenzie Paige won by last eliminating Allysin Kay.
  • The match included CJ, Heather Monroe, MJ Jenkins, Ruthie Jay, Samantha Starr, Sierra, Taylor Rising, The WOAD, and Max the Impaler
  • In an interview, Trevor Murdoch and Mike Knox share their thoughts ahead of their tag team title match on Sunday.
  • Cardona cuts a pre-match promo and says he’s the savior of the NWA and the real world champion. He turns his attention to the open challenge. Cardona says he came to NWA to light a new torch, and he knows plenty of competitors want to face him. He calls himself the hottest thing in wrestling today. Cardona calls out the “young rookie” who will accept his open challenge. Ricky Morton answers the open challenge.
  • Matt Cardona Open Challenge: Matt Cardona def. Ricky Morton
    • Before the bell, Cardona mocks Morton and says he’s older than his grandfather. He tells Ricky to lay down for him. Morton refuses, and the match begins. Morton gains the upper hand. Cardona walks up the ramp, and Morton brings him back. Cardona takes control and grounds Morton. The legend rallies. Cardona kicks Morton below the belt and hits Radio Silence for the win. Cardona gets a chair and goes to attack Morton, but Kerry Morton and Alex Taylor make the save.
  • NWA World Tag Team Championship: Blunt Force Trauma (Damage & Carnage) (with Aron Stevens) def. La Rebelion (Mecha Wolf & Bestia 666) (with Vampiro) (c) to win the titles.
    • La Rebelion takes the fight to the challengers and controls the action early on. Blunt Force Trauma uses their power advantage to gain the advantage. Vampiro stares Stevens down at ringside. La Rebelion rallies. They hit a double-team knee strike. A moonsault to the outside takes down Carnage. La Rebelion hits the Mark of the Beast. Stevens breaks up the pin, and Vampiro attacks him. Blunt Force Trauma capitalizes on the referee being down and scores the pin with a heel kick.
  • The Brothers of Funstruction and Violent J come to the stage and seemingly challenge La Rebelion and Vampiro to a match.
  • NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tyrus and EC3 do a weigh-in ahead of their title match on Sunday. EC3 is wearing a black mask. They both get a chance to say something, but they remain silent. Tyrus takes a moment to dedicate his win to the late Windham Rotunda.
  • No Limits Match for NWA World Women’s Championship: Kamille (c) vs. Natalia Markova
    • Kamille and Markova have a sword fight with kendo sticks. The match spills to the outside, and Kamille takes control with some chops. They fight on the stage. Kamille rocks Markova with a kick and hits her with a kendo stick. Markova suplexes Kamille on the stage. The match returns to the ring. Markova blocks a chair shot, but Kamille throws the chair into her face. Kamille hits Markova with a keyboard multiple times. Markova hits Kamille with a baking sheet. Markova hits Kamille with a kendo stick. Markova gets a near fall with a DDT on a chair. In the end, Kamille gets the win with a Spear off the apron and through a table.
    • Pretty Empowered come to the stage and sarcastically applaud for Kamille.
