WWE continues to load up the card for WWE Payback.
On the August 25 episode of WWE SmackDown, LA Knight came to the ring for his main-event match against Finn Balor. First, he addressed Bray Wyatt passing away and paid tribute to the former WWE Champion, who passed away on August 24. Knight then directed his attention to The Miz.
Knight sent “The A-Lister” a heated message and claimed that he was never the true star, even in the highlights of his career. He then challenged The Miz to a match, which was later confirmed for WWE Payback.
The two stars have been feuding in recent weeks, as The Miz has claimed that Knight is just a flash in the pan. Meanwhile, Knight has said that The Miz was never a trend in the first place. Knight cost The Miz his match against Akira Tozawa on the August 21 episode of WWE RAW, and tensions continue to rise between them.
