Cody Rhodes paid tribute to Terry Funk on the August 25 episode of WWE SmackDown.
WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk passed away on August 23, and the following episode of WWE SmackDown honored the late legend. In one highlight, Cody Rhodes came to the ring to share his thoughts following Funk’s passing. He recalled how he heard Funk cut his infamous “egg-sucking dog” promo, which targeted his father, Dusty Rhodes.
Rhodes called Funk and the late Bray Wyatt cowboys in the best of ways. He highlighted Funk’s remarkable life and career. Rhodes emphasized Funk’s contributions to the business and cued up a video package that spotlighted Funk. Cody also pointed to Funk’s hardcore style as a wrestler.
In another tribute to Funk, the Street Profits faced the Brawling Brutes in a Terry Funk Hardcore Match on Friday night.
