Jack Perry and HOOK will finally settle the score.
Tony Khan announced an FTW Title match between Jack Perry and HOOK would take place on AEW All In’s Zero Hour broadcast on August 27. Khan made the announcement on Thursday’s episode of AEW Unrestricted.
This is the second FTW Championship match between Perry and HOOK, as Perry won the title from his former partner on the July 19 episode of AEW Dynamite. Since then, he has made one title defense, as he defeated Rob Van Dam on August 9.
Prior to All In, however, Perry claims he will retire the FTW title on Friday’s episode of Rampage.
JungleHOOK
During a recent interview with WrestleZone, Jack Perry was asked how teaming with HOOK helped him grow as a wrestler. Perry appreciated how HOOK got over with his actions. He also noted how the team blew up bigger than he thought it would.
“It kind of blew up and became a thing that we didn’t [expect]. I mean, I thought it would be cool [but it became even bigger]. But then, the first time we teamed up, it happened to get the biggest rating on that show, for the record. MJF and all these people, me and HOOK tagging for the first time got the highest viewed segment on the show,” Perry stressed. “And then it kind of became a thing, and it was like oh, JungleHOOK, that could be a cool thing.”
