AR Fox has been fired from the Mogul Embassy and replaced in his match at AEW All In.
In a tag team match on the August 23 episode of AEW Dynamite, AR Fox and Swerve Strickland lost to Darby Allin and Nick Wayne. The young star trapped Fox and pinned him for the upset win. After the microphone, Strickland grabbed a microphone and said that Fox has been nothing but a disappointment, so much so that he couldn’t even beat an 18-year-old.
Strickland then told Prince Nana to handle business, and Nana swiftly fired him from the group. Brian Cage then appeared out of nowhere and attacked Fox.
Allin and Wayne then came back to the ring and helped up Fox. Allin said that he will always respect the veteran for helping him throughout his career, and he told Fox that he still loved him. The former TNT Champion wondered who Strickland would team up with at AEW All In, as he and Fox were set to face Allin and Sting at AEW All In. Strickland then laughed, implying that he had something lined up.
Christian Cage and TNT Champion Luchasaurus then came down to the ring, and Cage begin berating Nick Wayne. He took some shots at Nick’s late father, professional wrestler Buddy Wayne, who Cage called a talentless hack. He said since Wayne was essentially a nobody, Nick won’t have much to live up to. However, Cage stated that if Wayne played his cards right, he would end up with Cage as his mentor.
Cage was later confirmed as Strickland’s replacement at AEW All In.
