Bad Bunny is starring in a new movie, and the first trailer has been released.
Cassandro, starring Gael García Bernal and Bad Bunny, highlights legendary wrestler Exotico Luchador. The cast also includes Roberta Colindrez, Perla De La Rosa, Joaquín Cosío, and Raúl Castillo with a special appearance from El Hijo del Santo, among others. The film will hit select theaters in September 15, and it will stream globally on Amazon Prime on September 22.
The synopsis is as follows:
“Saúl Armendáriz, a gay amateur wrestler from El Paso, rises to international stardom after he creates the character ‘Cassandro,’ the “Liberace of Lucha Libre.” In the process, he upends not just the macho wrestling world, but also his own life. Based on a true story. Directed by Academy Award® winner Roger Ross Williams.”

Bad Bunny returned to WWE earlier in WWE and competed at WWE Backlash. There, he defeated Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight.
