AEW Dynamite viewership saw an increase on August 16.
According to Wrestlenomics, 874,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.32 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership increased from last week’s episode when 846,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also rose from last week‘s episode, which also drew a 0.29 rating in the same demographic.
AEW Dynamite ranked number one on cable for Wednesday in the 18-49 demo.
What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?
This week’s show kicked off with Orange Cassidy defeating Wheeler Yuta to retain the AEW International Championship. Following the match, Cassidy was jumped by the Blackpool Combat Club but was saved by Best Friends, The Lucha Bros, and a returning Eddie Kingston.
This episode also saw several matches officially confirmed for the upcoming AEW All In pay-per-view.
In the main event, The Young Bucks defeated The Gunns. The Bucks were attacked after the match by the rest of Bullet Club Gold but were run off by FTR to close the show.
