Game Changer Wrestling announced that El Hijo del Vikingo is dealing with an injury.
Vikingo was set for GCW’s Homecoming event in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on August 10 and 20. However, GCW tweeted that Vikingo will be unable to compete due to an injury. Alongside the announcement, GCW confirmed two changes to the card.
The opening night of GCW Homecoming will now include a singles match between Alex Zayne and Tony Deppen. Additionally, Komander, Ninja Mack, Gringo Loco, Arez, Cole Radrick, and Dante Leon will compete in the All Star Scramble Match.
Vikingo last wrestled at AAA TripleMania 31: CDMX. At the August 12 event, he retained the AAA Mega Championship when he defeated Daga, Mike Bailey, and Jack Cartwheel. After Vikingo collapsed backstage, he was taken out on a stretcher. Per PWInsider, Vikingo was dehydrated, and he was not expected to miss any dates moving forward.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
