Leatherface was All Elite, at least for one night.
On the August 16 episode of AEW Dynamite, Jeff Jarrett faced Jeff Hardy in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match. The bout was sponsored by the new Texas Chain Saw Massacre video game. Prior to the bout, Jarrett teased that Leatherface himself would show up.
The chaotic battled featured a wild brawl between The Hardy Party and Jarrett’s group, which included Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh. Karen Jarrett also got involved throughout the bout. The Jarretts got fake blood dumped on them, and the fight spilled all over the arena.
In the end, Hardy hit a Swanton Bomb through a table. However, Lethal broke up the pin. A man who appeared to be Leatherface came to ringside brandishing a chainsaw, and he took out Matt Hardy, Ethan Page, and Isiah Kassidy.
Lethal hit Jeff Hardy with a hammer, and Singh chokeslammed him. Jarrett then pinned Hardy for the win. “Double J” then posed with the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match Championship.
