When Life Gives You Lemons, Becky Lynch Gets Lemon-Themed Merchandise

When life gives you lemons, you can count on Becky Lynch to make some lemonade.

Many wrestling fans were disappointed to see Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus absent from WWE SummerSlam. That frustration has now led to new shirts on WWE Shop. Following reports that their match had been pulled from the SummerSlam card due to time constraints, Lynch posted an interesting photo of herself.

While in her kitchen, Lynch tweeted a photograph of herself cutting up some lemons alongside the caption, “Making lemonade with all these lemons I’ve been given. What’s everyone else up to this weekend?!”

Triple H briefly addressed her post during his post-show press conference. That lemon theme then continued on the August 7 edition of WWE RAW when Lynch sat ringside for the singles match between Shayna Baszler and Stratus’ protege, Zoey Stark. As Lynch watched on, she treated herself to a refreshing glass of lemonade, which she later spit into the air after Baszler emerged victorious.

On Monday night’s episode of RAW, Lynch finally received her grudge match against Stratus. Before the two squared off, though, Lynch debuted her new shirt, which featured a giant yellow lemon on the front. Following the rather inconclusive outcome of Lynch vs. Stratus, WWE revealed that Lynch’s shirt was now available at their official merchandise store.

“Never Bitter. Never Better. #LFG #WWERAW,” Lynch tweeted in response.

Levesque Addresses Reports Of SummerSlam Matches Being Cut

Upon the conclusion of SummerSlam, WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque claimed that no matches were cut from the PLE card.

“There was no card announced,” Levesque said during the post-show press conference. “If we don’t have more things in the pocket ready to go for a PLE that can fit in the PLE, I’ve done a terrible job. Because there’s always an injury waiting around the corner. There’s always a moment that changes everything. When one creative thing changes, it changes the trajectory of everything, right. So if you don’t have more stuff than you need ready to go, you’ve failed. Then you get to the unfortunate place where you’ve got too much stuff.”

“I don’t know about any of you, that show was plenty long tonight. Plenty long. If it had been longer, it would’ve been bad. There comes a time when you say, ‘Well, does everything get shorter time? Does everything get rushed? Do we move things around, shift it and give it a bigger spotlight?’ For me, I’d rather have the bigger spotlight. That’s how I look at it.”
