WWE has provided a medical update on Sami Zayn.
Zayn, one-half of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, was scheduled to team up with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins to face the Judgment Day on the August 7 episode of WWE RAW. A backstage attack by JD McDonagh took Zayn out of action, and he was apparently dealing with an elbow injury.
Dyring the August 14 episode of WWE RAW, McDonagh stated that Zayn was cleared to compete. Zayn then came to the ring, and Michael Cole announced that he was dealing with traumatic olecranon bursitis. Despite the injury, Zayn went on to defeat McDonagh in a singles match.
