El Hijo del Vikingo left AAA TripleMania 31 CDMX on a stretcher after he fainted backstage.
Vikingo successfully defended his AAA Mega Championship at the show. He defeated Mike Bailey, Daga, and Jack Cartwheel to retain the gold. However, he fainted backstage after the match. The champion was then taken away on a stretcher.
Vikingo was active on social media the following morning, as he shared clips from TripleMania 31 CDMX.
In addition to his work with AAA, Vikingo has wrestled for AEW and ROH several times in recent months. He is also active on the independent scene in the United States.
Update: Mike Johnson of PWInsider subsequently reported that Vikingo was not feeling well ahead of his match on Saturday. Per sources, he was dehydrated, and he did not eat enough. However, Vikingo is said to be fine, and he will not miss any upcoming dates.
