SANADA Reveals He Suffered Distal Biceps Tendon Tear During NJPW G1 Climax 33

SANADA is taking some time to heal.

In a post on Instagram, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA revealed that he had been dealing with a distal biceps tendon tear. The injury occurred during the NJPW G1 Climax 33 tournament, and he continued to compete. In the post, SANADA wrote that he would use the off-season to heal.

It’s unclear when the injury happened and how long the recovery will take.

SANADA had a remarkable run in the G1 Climax 33, as he went undefeated in round robin action before EVIL beat him in the semifinals. EVIL then attacked SANADA after his match on the final night of the tournament on August 13.

The IWGP World Heavyweight Champion has been advertised for IMPACT Emergence on August 27
