Matt Hardy had a recent run-in with Steve from Blue’s Clues.
Hardy was asked about meeting Steve Burns on a recent episode of his The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast.
“Steve from ‘Blue’s Clues’ came over to our table and said, ‘Hey guys, my guy asked your guy if I could take a picture with you. Could I grab a picture with you real quick? Big fan.’ I said, ‘Oh, sure, of course, man. Thank you, that’s awesome.’ I said, ‘How’s your weekend been?’ He said, ‘It’s been really good. I loved The Hardy Boyz when I was into wrestling.’ He said, ‘I was also a huge fan of Matt Hardy V1.’ The sign that he threw up in the picture was this [the V1 sign], which was very, very cool. So Steve from ‘Blue’s Clues’ has Mattitude, baby.”
Blue’s Legacy
Co-host Jon Alba asked Hardy asked if he could name one celebrity he’s encountered that he would have never expected to be a diehard Hardy Boy fan but said they were. Hardy then named Steve by noting that he never would have expected his fandom.
“I mean, he would be towards the top of that list as well,” he said. “I wouldn’t have expected that at all. I’ve never watched ‘Blue’s Clues.’ I didn’t expect Steve to come over and start up throwing up V1 hand signs.
When Alba joked that Blue’s Clues was as hot as RAW or Nitro in 1998, Hardy admitted that he knew meeting Steve was a big deal.
“It was a big deal. I realized that looking back,” Hardy said. “It was truly a big deal, but obviously, I was on the hustle and grind at that point in my life, so I didn’t have any time for ‘Blue’s Clues.'”
