AEW Collision‘s viewership decreased on August 5.
According to Wrestlenomics, 417,000 viewers tuned in on Saturday. This number is down from the July 29 episode, when 739,000 viewers watched the show.
Collision drew a 0.13 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The demographic rating was also down from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.27 rating.
This is the first episode of AEW Collision that went head-to-head with a WWE premium live event, UFC, and a boxing fight on the same night.
This Week’s Episode of AEW Collision
This week’s show kicked off with FTR defeating Brian Cage and Big Bill to retain the AEW World Tag Team Titles. Following the match, FTR laid out a challenge to The Young Bucks at AEW All In.
Elsewhere on the show, Ring of Honor World Television Champion Samoa Joe squashed Serpentico and demanded a rematch with CM Punk later this month at All In and gave him til the end of the show to give him an answer.
In the main event, CM Punk defeated Ricky Starks to retain the “Real World Championship.” Following the match, Starks attacked Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat.
