Ronda Rousey After WWE SummerSlam Loss: Now I Got No Reason To Stay

Ronda Rousey says Shayna Baszler was the reason she got into this business, and now she has no reason to stay.

Baszler defeated Rousey in an MMA Rules Match at WWE SummerSlam. Ahead of the show, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Rousey had given WWE a “hard out” date.

@qosbaszler you were the reason I got into this business… Now I got no reason to stay,” she wrote.

Rousey started making WWE appearances in 2014. She memorably appeared at WrestleMania 31 and stood tall with The Rock after a showdown with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. After making her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34, Rousey became a featured member of the WWE roster. After her loss at WWE WrestleMania 35, she took over two years off. She returned to the company at WWE Royal Rumble 2022.

During her time with WWE, Rousey won the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship twice and the and RAW Women’s Championship once. She and Baszler won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in May 2023. Rousey also emerged victorious when she competed in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble Match.

WrestleZone will provide more information about Rousey’s status as it becomes available.
