KAIRI Sane is set for an All Japan event amid reports that she’s returning to WWE.
On August 5, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Sane has agreed to terms to return to WWE. He wrote that her return was expected to be imminent.
KAIRI then took to social media to note that she had an announcement to make, and she would have a press conference the next day.
At the All Japan event on August 6, KAIRI appeared and announced that she will compete at the September 8 event. She will join forces with Saori Anou to face Unagi Sayaka and a partner of her choosing.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported an update on Sane’s debut by noting “Maybe November,” as she has more dates in Japan.
KAIRI, a former NXT Women’s Champion, left WWE in December 2021. She returned to wrestling in Japan, and she has competed for Stardom and NJPW. The former WWE star became the inaugural IWGP Women’s Champion by defeating Mayu Iwatani. She lost the title to Mercedes Moné at NJPW Battle in the Valley 2023.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
