Jim Ross Returns To Commentary For Main Event Of 8/5 AEW Collision

Jim Ross returned on the August 5 episode of AEW Collision.

The legendary broadcaster had been absent since the June 17 episode of AEW Collision. Prior to the show, he suffered an injury when he fell. He subsequently stated that he would be taking time away to heal. Ross later noted that he didn’t have a timetable for his return, but he hoped to be back in time for AEW All In.

The August 5 episode of AEW Collision featured a buzzworthy main event, as CM Punk defended the “real” AEW World Championship against Ricky Starks. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat was the special outside official for the match. Ross was on the call for the bout, where Punk emerged victorious.

It’s unclear whether Ross has fully returned to AEW, or if his appearance on Saturday was a one-off. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
