Rumors of The Elite leaving AEW and moving to WWE had been floating around for some time. That won’t be happening because of their new contracts, but WWE Superstar Finn Balor hopes to get an opportunity to work with them in the future.
Speaking to Haus of Wrestling during WWE SummerSlam’s media junket, Bálor was asked about the possibility of getting to work with The Elite in any capacity, and their decision to re-sign with AEW over moving to WWE.
“I would love to get an opportunity to work with those guys again,” he said. “But, once they’re happy in their situation, that’s all that really matters to me. The Bucks and Kenny, great guys, had a great working relationship with them in New Japan. Hopefully, in the future, we’ll get to work together again. Whether it’s here, there, or somewhere else, who knows? But I’m happy here. They’re happy there.”
When asked what he meant by “there,” Finn Balor simply reiterated that he wasn’t opposed to it in any capacity, no matter where it might be.
“Here or there or anywhere. I’m not opposed to it.”
Cody Rhodes spoke with the media on SummerSlam weekend about his huge run in WWE so far, facing Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, The Elite re-signing with AEW, balancing wrestling and family now, community service events in WWE and more.
