It doesn’t seem like Becky Lynch is in Detroit for SummerSlam weekend after all.
Yesterday, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that despite not being scheduled for a match, Becky Lynch was in Detroit for SummerSlam weekend.
The Man took to social media this evening to dispute these reports. Going as far as to post a picture of herself at the beach with the following caption:
“Detroit has more palm trees and ocean than I remember,” Lynch said in a tweet.
Lynch was initially scheduled to compete at SummerSlam against Trish Stratus before time constraints for the show forced the match off the card and was rescheduled for the August 14 episode of RAW.
While Lynch might not be appearing, her husband Seth “Freakin” Rollins is in Detroit and will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor at SummerSlam.
Update: Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that Lynch is not in Detroit, and she is not planned to make the trip to the show.
