Nick Aldis is currently dealing with a back injury.
In a tweet on August 2, the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion announced that he had to pull out of his upcoming bookings. Specifically, he noted that he would be unable to make his dates in Chicago for DREAMWAVE Wrestling and Puerto Rico later in August. Aldis stated that he has been dealing with a back injury, and he can’t deliver at the level he deems acceptable.
“The National Treasure” apologized for letting people down and ended his message by saying, “See you down the road.”
As of this writing, it’s unclear how long Aldis will be out of action. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes avalable.
Aldis reportedly wrapped up with IMPACT Wrestling after the weekend of IMPACT Slammiversary in July. He returned to the company at IMPACT Rebellion in April. Aldis unsuccessfully challenged Alex Shelley for the IMPACT World Championship at Slammiversary.
