CM Punk Teases Using ‘This Fire Burns’ Again In Instagram Post

CM Punk teases bringing back his old theme song.

In a post on Instagram, the former AEW World Champion shared an image of himself on AEW Collision. In the post, he used “This Fire Burns” by Killswitch Engage, seemingly teasing that the song could make a return. Punk previously used “This Fire Burns” during his WWE run. Specifically, it was his theme song from 2006-2011.

Punk initially used “Cult of Personality” during his ROH run before he brought it back in 2011. It has been his theme song ever since. As a throwback to ROH, he walked out to “Miseria Cantare” by AFI at AEW Revolution 2022.

It’s entirely possible that Punk was just taking a walk down memory lane, but the post sparked plenty of buzz nonetheless.

Punk also called back to his WWE days when he said that he’s “better than you” because he’s straight edge-on the July 29 episode of AEW Collision.

CM Punk Set For AEW Collision

CM Punk continues to call himself the real AEW World Champion. On the July 29 episode of AEW Collision, he spray-painted his “X” symbol on an AEW World Championship belt. Ricky Starks then challenged him to a match, and they will clash on the August 5 episode of the show.
