Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson) learned from two of the best in Triple H and Shawn Michaels.
During their time in NXT, Prince and Deadly worked closely with Michaels and Triple H. Now that they’re on the main roster, they continue to learn from “The Game.”
Speaking with Nick Hausman for Haus of Wrestling, Pretty Deadly shared their thoughts on learning from Michaels and Triple H. (H/t Haus of Wrestling for the transcription).
“You got two of the best wrestlers in the world, and they are just our bosses, and they’re helping us week by week,” Prince said. “It’s still kind of like a wild thing to get your head around, but Shawn Michaels told us a couple of years ago to just always be ourselves and not forget who we are, and that so long as we’re putting that product across, that we’ll always be alright.
“I think that’s been a huge help for us because, you know? When we’re just having fun out there, it’s just me and Kit just being friends, basically, just messing around like we would outside, and it shows, right?”
Wilson added that they “get along in our house” and bringing that to the ring has been successful. He noted that the “big, top dogs” told them that, and it’s coming int fruition.
