Abracadabra boom shaka dae … Violent J is coming to NWA 75!
The National Wrestling Alliance confirmed Violent J, one half of the infamous Insane Clown Posse rap group, will be in St. Louis for NWA 75. Violent J sent in a video where he claims Vampiro inspired him to be a manager, and he found the perfect team to link up with.
Violent J will be in the corner of Ruffo The Clown and Yabo The Clown, aka The Brothers of Funstruction. Will he bring a hat full of tricks?
As of now, the Brothers of Funstruction don’t have a confirmed match on the card. Vampiro and La Rebelión will defend their titles against Blunt Force Trauma on Night One.
NWA 75 takes place on August 26 and 27 at the Chase’s Khorassan Ballroom in St. Louis.
ICP’s Wrestling History
Violent J’s NWA appearance is just the latest wrestling promotion that ICP has been part of. Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope have appeared in WWE, WCW and TNA Wrestling. ICP and Vampiro were in The Dead Pool stable together during their time in WCW.
Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J appeared on After the Bell with Corey Graves and said they had a blast in WCW.
“It was so cool. We ended up doing ‘Nitro’ but it was so cool when we got to WCW, man. We met Vampiro and everything was so cool with Vampiro. I guess we had a lot of heat in WWE. None of those boys knew that we were workers. They just thought we were some rappers that got thrown in there,” Violent J said. “We definitely didn’t get treated like one of the boys. I’m sure we probably could have got it a lot harder. But in WCW everything was really cool, in WCW we had a great time. We started hanging out with Vampiro, and we just hit it off like crazy, with Vampiro and with Raven. We got to work with [Great] Muta, we got to work with everybody.
“Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio. We got to go right into the matches, there was no problem with it, like they just put us ready to six-man tag competition with Vampiro, we got to be on paper views. I mean, WCW was fun, man. I can’t lie, man.”
