Dennis Rodman is coming to Starrcast.
In a tweet on July 24, Starrcast announced that Rodman will be at Starrcast VI, courtesy of Big Event NY. The convention will be held on September 1-3 in Chicago, Illinois, the weekend of AEW All Out. More information is available here.
Rodman is a former two-time NBA All Star and a two-time Defensive Player of the Year. He is also a five-time NBA Champion and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer. In the wrestling world, he is a former member of the New World Order.
Eric Bischoff On Working With Dennis Rodman
WWE Hall of Famer previously looked back on working with Dennis Rodman. Speaking with TMZ Sports, highlighted the “scuffle” between Rodman and Karl Malone in the 1998 NBA Finals.
“Now, what I said to Dennis – not to Karl – was, ‘Hey Dennis, if anything were to happen off-court while there’s a timeout, while there’s no gameplay. If you guys happen to rough it up a little bit at the sidelines, or look like you’re going to and establish that intent, so that the feud, if you will, between Karl Malone and Dennis Rodman is real, on a kind of a 360-degree basis, not just what happens on our television show, that wouldn’t piss me off at all.’”
“It was kind of subtle but clear, I guess … and I made sure with respect to my boss, Harvey Schiller at Turner Sports, and the NBA, I did it in a way to be a little bit hands-off and make sure it didn’t interrupt the gameplay.”
