Orange Cassidy is working as a producer, and no, that’s not just a fruit pun.
According to a new report from Fightful (via Fightful Select), Orange Cassidy is working as a producer/agent for AEW.
Orange Cassidy, the AEW International Champion, recently produced a match between The Infantry and The Kingdom. Cassidy also produced Big Bill & Brian Cage vs. Matt Sydal & Trent?.
Producers in AEW are on a headset during their respective matches to keep time. They also send directions to ringside and relay important spots to the production team.

Orange Cassidy recently spoke about his impressive International Championship run with Jack Farmer of Wrestling Inc. Orange Cassidy didn’t intentionally set out for frequent title defenses but he sees the benefits it’s had for everyone.
”I had the Independent Wrestling Championship early in my career on the Indies. I had this philosophy of, if you want a shot, I’ll give it to you. And I think I wanted to use this as a tool to get people on television that you normally wouldn’t see on television. Maybe somebody that works really, really hard that deserves a title shot.
“I decided to make this the belt everybody who wasn’t ranked number one could go after. [We could] show different styles, show different wrestling, show the wide variety of fantastic talent that AEW has. It’s just unfortunate that I’ll have to punch them all in the face to win this back. I didn’t really set out to do that, it’s just what happened.”
