For those hoping for a deeper meaning behind Kris Statlander‘s use of sign language on All Elite Wrestling programming, you might be disappointed.
TBS Champion Kris Statlander recently took part in an autograph session for Highspots Sign It Live and answered fan questions during the event. When asked about the story behind her using sign language on TV for All Elite Wrestling, Statlander said there was no real story behind it and just thought it would be something different.
“There is not a story. I just thought it would be cool and different,” Kris Statland revealed. “I’m not fluent in it, but I do know some basic sentences and stuff. I just thought it would be something different and you don’t see it often. That’s really all there is to it. I don’t know anyone that is deaf. I didn’t really have a reason to learn it.” [H/T: Fightful]
