Claudio Castagnoli Challenges PAC To Face Him At ROH Death Before Dishonor

The ROH World Championship match for ROH Death Before Dishonor is seemingly set.

ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli challenged PAC to face him at the pay-per-view in a backstage promo. The challenge came after PAC walked out on Blackpool Combat Club during the July 19 episode of AEW Dynamite. “The Bastard” left the match following an inadvertent uppercut by Claudio. He then gave Castagnoli the middle finger after a brief argument and ultimately walked away.

PAC accepted Castagnoli’s challenge in a promo of his own and stated that he would be at the pay-per-view on July 21, and he intended to take the gold.

Update: Tony Khan subsequently confirmed the match for ROH Death Before Dishonor.

Claudio Castagnoli Has Been A Dominant ROH World Champion

Castagnoli won the title by defeating Chris Jericho at ROH Final Battle 2022. He has defended the title multiple times since then. Most notably, he beat Eddie Kingston to retain the gold at ROH Supercard of Honor 2023. Mark Briscoe was set to challenge Claudio for the title at ROH Death Before Dishonor, but he was unable to compete due to a knee injury.

Tony Khan recently discussed Briscoe’s injury and the changes to ROH Death Before Dishonor. Click here to see what he had to say.
