Gallus is set to defend the gold at WWE NXT Great American Bash.
Tony D’Angelo had been locked up in “prison” for a number of weeks, but Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo won his freedom by defeating Joe Coffey on the July 11 episode of WWE NXT. Per the stipulation of the match, in addition to D’Angelo’s freedom, “Stacks” earned the two of them a shot at Gallus’ NXT Tag Team Championship.
On the July 18 episode of WWE NXT, D’Angelo celebrated his homecoming and made it clear that he intends to win the gold at NXT Great American Bash. Gallus interrupted, and they got into a intense confrontation with D’Angelo and his family.
Elsewhere on the show, WWE confirmed that Tiffany Stratton will defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Thea Hail in a Submission Match at NXT Great American Bash. More information is available here.
