Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor will officially clash at WWE SummerSlam, and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line.
The match was confirmed by WWE during the July 17 episode of WWE RAW. The announcement came after confrontation between Balor and Rollins on Monday night. Balor made it clear that he wants a rematch, and vowed to ruin Rollins’ life and change history the way Rollins did when they faced each other for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2016.
Rollins once again reiterated to Bálor that the belt was bigger than the two of them, and if that all Bálor wanted to do was settle a grudge, they didn’t need to compete in a title match. Balor went to leave, but he then ambushed Rollins, determined to get his rematch. The bout was later confirmed for WWE SummerSlam.
Previously, Rollins defeated Bálor at WWE’s Money in the Bank to retain his title; Damian Priest inadvertently distracted Bálor and help Rollins clinch the win.
