“The Invisible Hand” will aim to make an impact at AAA TripleMania XXXI: Tijuana.
AAA announced that AEW’s Don Callis will corner AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo for his match against Kenny Omega at the event on July 15. Callis broke the news in an interview that AAA shared on social media, as he noted that he gave Vikingo the “secret sauce” it would take to score the win over Omega.
Callis getting involved in the match is the latest step in his bitter feud Omega. He first betrayed the former AEW World Champion when he cost him a Steel Cage Match against Jon Moxley on the May 10 episode of AEW Dynamite. Callis and Konosuke Takeshita then interfered in The Anarchy in the Arena match between The Elite and Blackpool Combat Club at AEW Double or Nothing.
Likewise, Callis played a pivotal role in Will Ospreay defeating Omega to win the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Following teases that he’s looking to expand his “family,” fans will have to wait and see how his alliance with Vikingo progresses.
Omega previously beat Vikingo on the March 22 episode of AEW Dynamite, but the title will be on the line when they face off again at TripleMania.
WrestleZone will have coverage of AAA TripleMania XXXI: Tijuana as it airs on July 15.
