Snoop Dogg once lived with a cockroach that he named The Gooch.
The rapper and WWE Hall Of Famer revealed during an interview with Nardwuar that he once lived in an apartment with an unkillable cockroach. Snoop ultimately befriended the bug, naming him ‘The Gooch’ and feeding him for several months.
“Oh, yeah, Gooch used to live with me,” Snoop recalled (via Entertainment Weekly). “In my apartment I had a roach that we couldn’t kill. We tried to kill the muthaf—- when we first moved in and he wouldn’t die, so we called him ‘The Gooch.'”
“He just kept getting bigger and bigger,” Snoop said. “I stayed in that apartment for like about six, seven months — Cuz grew to the size of about a whole dollar bill. We used to leave food out for him and everything.”
This isn’t the only wrestling-related link between Snoop Dogg and a Gooch, as both names have appeared on All Elite Wrestling in the past.
Snoop Dogg appeared in AEW when he was a guest on the ‘New Year’s Bash’ episode of Dynamite on January 6, 2021. The cameo is remembered for Snoop’s top rope frog splash onto Serpentico.
The Gooch (aka actor Mickey Gooch, not Snoop’s roommate) was part of Mike Tyson’s entourage when the legendary boxer was on the May 27, 2020 episode of Dynamite.
