Kazuchika Okada shares his thoughts on his match with Bryan Danielson at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door and teases a rematch.
Speaking with Tokyo Sports, Okada looked back on the match and noted that he felt like he experienced American pro wrestling when “The Final Countdown” started playing during Danielson’s entrance.
“I was the last one to enter, but I was only caught up in AEW, and suddenly [Bryan] came out in ‘The Final Countdown’ and took [the air] with me,” Okada said. “This time, I really felt that I experienced American pro wrestling.”
Okada commented on a potential rematch by referencing the injury Danielson suffered in the match and stating that he hopes they can share the ring again at the right time.
“I don’t think it’s going to be a card that everyone was so excited about, and I don’t want it to be easy,” Okada said. “However, if I had the time to repay the debt, I would break one or two more arms and win. I hope we can do it at the right time.”
