Cody Rhodes wants to finish the story with Brock Lesnar.
Rhodes had a message for “The Beast Incarnate” on the July 10 episode of WWE RAW. He stated that Lesnar was the mountain in front of him, and rather than avoiding the challenge, he had to go right through it. After describing how everyone had their own version of Lesnar, whether it was student debt or crippling anxiety, he challenged the former world champion to a match at WWE SummerSlam.
Rhodes expressed his intent to close the chapter with Lesnar and become the “next in line” with a win.
Lesnar attacked Rhodes on the April 3 episode of WWE RAW. Rhodes then defeated “The Beast Incarnate” at WWE Backlash. Lesnar scored the win over Rhodes when they clashed at WWE Night of Champions. “The Night of Champions’ challenged Lesnar to face him again, and Lesnar returned on the July 3 episode of WWE RAW.
