The Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament finals are set, with CM Punk and Ricky Starks set to face off next week.
During the July 15 episode of AEW Collision, Ricky Starks punched the first ticket into the finals by defeating Powerhouse Hobbs to open the show. In an unfortunate moment for Hobbs, QT Marshall distracted the referee late in their match and prevented Hobbs from scoring a pinfall win. The ensuing argument between the pair then allowed for Starks to hit Hobbs with a spear for the win.
In the main event of the night, CM Punk and Samoa Joe faced off, with the two legendary wrestling figures putting on a show to close out the night. Things came to an end after Punk was somehow able to roll up Joe while he had Punk locked in the Coquina Clutch.
Afterward, the two shook hands for a moment, before an enraged Joe locked Punk in another Coquina Clutch while shouting that he was always better than Punk.
Despite the chaos to end the show, next week’s finals are set, and will now see Punk and Starks step into the ring to try and win the 2023 Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament.
