Bullet Club Gold has officially earned a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships next week, defeating FTR and setting up a massive 2 out of 3 falls match.
During tonight’s episode of AEW Collision, FTR looked to be in complete control for most of the match, with a win meaning that Juice Robinson and Jay White wouldn’t be allowed to challenge for the titles as long as FTR had them. However, later in the match, the momentum shifted just enough for Bullet Club Gold to get going.
After kicking out of a handful of massive finisher, Jay White began brawling with Dax Harwood alone in the ring. The superstars then tried to go for separate tags, but Dax couldn’t get his in, and tried to roll up White instead. Juice then used the moment to quickly hit a DDT on Harwood and pin him, while White stopped Cash Wheeler from breaking it up.
Following the match, Tony Schiavone tried to interview FTR backstage but they’re interrupted by Bullet Club Gold. White said they should be considered the best tag team in the world for defeating FTR twice in the past couple of weeks. White proposes a two out of three falls match for the AEW World Tag Team Titles next week in Calgary, and FTR accepts.
