Nick Wayne will make his debut on the July 12 episode of AEW Dynamite.
After initially signing with AEW in February 2022, former DEFY World Champion Wayne will make his in-ring debut shortly after his eighteenth birthday, as he will face Swerve Strickland on Wednesday. A video package on the July 5 episode of AEW Dynamite highlighted Wayne’s background.
Plus, the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament will continue. Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin will face off against the winners of Jeff Jarrett & Matt Hardy vs. Daniel Garcia & Sammy Guevara, which will be held on the July 7 episode of AEW Rampage. Cassidy and Allin defeated Strickland and Lee in a quarterfinal match on the July 5 episode of AEW Dynamite.
In another semifinal match, AEW World Champion MJF and Adam Cole — who advanced after beating Matt Menard and The Butcher on Wednesday — will compete in a semifinal match. They will face the winners of Brian Cage & Big Bill vs. Trent Beretta and Matt Sydal, which will be held on Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage.
Plus, Skye Blue will face Ruby Soho in the semifinals of the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament, and Chris Jericho will face Komander.
