Who’s the fifth man?
That’s the question surrounding the upcoming Blood & Guts match on the July 19 episode of AEW Dynamite, as neither team is complete. As previously announced, Blackpool Combat Club will face The Elite in the Blood & Guts match when AEW comes to the TD Garden for what promises to be a buzzworthy show.
As noted on the July 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, Bryan Danielson is sidelined with a broken forearm, and Eddie Kingston will be competing in the NJPW G1 Climax 33. As a result, both The Elite and Blackpool Combat Club will have a mystery fifth member, and their identities will be revealed in the coming weeks.
The rivalry between The Elite and Blackpool Combat Club has been raging for months. Konosuke Takeshita helped Blackpool Combat Club beat The Elite in the Anarchy at the Arena match at AEW Double or Nothing. The Elite then defeated Blackpool Combat Club at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
