It doesn’t sound like Malakai Black will be on AEW Dynamite anytime soon.
AEW World Trios Champions the House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Mathhews) have been featured on AEW Collision since the show launched on June 17. King and Matthews have competed in singles matches on the show, while Black has appeared in promos.
Speaking on the Undisputed podcast with Bobby Fish, Black noted that he asked to strictly be on AEW Collision. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription.)
“I requested to be strictly on Collision. I don’t want people to get the pick. Saturday night, I get to see House of Black. If I give you the option for Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, you’re going to go, ‘it doesn’t really matter. I’ll tune in whenever. They’ll be here.’ I don’t want to lose the polish.”
During their time on AEW Collision, the House of Black has been engaged in a budding rivalry with Andrade El Idolo.
