Kelani Jordan‘s time in NXT is off to a strong start.
On the July 4 episode of WWE NXT, Jordan faced Tatum Paxley in a singles match. Dana Brooke accompanied Jordan to the ring, as the veteran recently offered to take the young star under her wing. The broadcast team highlighted Jordan’s background as a gymnast; she was a three-time gymnastics MVP and team captain at Michigan State University, among other accolades.
Jordan ultimately emerged victorious, so she picked up the win in her first NXT singles match. After the bell, Cora Jade came to the stage and talked some trash, but she backed away when Jordan challenged her to a match.
Jordan competed several times on NXT Level Up prior to her match on July 4.
