Shayna Baszler reflects on attacking Ronda Rousey on the July 3 episode of Monday Night Raw.
Baszler suddenly turned on Ronda Rousey at the WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view in the middle of their Tag Team Championship defense against Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan. Basler would take some time to explain herself on the July 3 episode of Raw, noting that she felt she needed to apologize to people for bringing Ronda into the industry.
Both women would eventually begin fighting, with “The Queen of Spades” getting the advantage and briefly locking in an ankle lock before kneeing Ronda Rousey in the face and walking away.
On the subsequent episode of WWE Raw Talk, Baszler explained how good it felt to unleash on Ronda Rousey finally.
“I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I’ve had this building up. It felt good to finally get that off my chest. But you know what felt better? Feeling her tendons in her ankles stretch and feeling my knee crack across her skull. [I] finally shut her up,” said Baszler.
Ronda Rousey was anything but knocked out and immediately called for Shayna to return and keep fighting.
It was reported that Rousey had recently given WWE a “hard out date.”
