Matt Riddle will challenge for the gold at WWE Money in the Bank.
In a backstage segment prior to the June 26 episode of WWE RAW, Byron Saxton interviewed Riddle, who challenged WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther to a title match at WWE Money in the Bank. Riddle said that he was tired of everyone involved with Imperium trying to injure him, so he’s going to take something from Gunther.
During Monday’s episode of WWE RAW, Riddle was interviewed again, but Ludwig Kaiser crashed the conversation and called Riddle an amateur. Riddle attacked him, but Gunther blindsided “The Original Bro” from behind. Gunther and Kaiser ganged up on Riddle, and “The Ring General” told him his challenge was accepted.
