Sting and Chris Jericho will clash on the June 28 episode of AEW Dynamite, as they will face off in a tag team match.
Jericho and “The Icon” have been feuding in recent weeks, and they clashed in a trios match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, where Sting, Darby Allin, and Tetsuya Naito defeated Jericho, Sammy Guevara, and Minoru Suzuki.
During the post-show press conference, Jericho crashed Sting and Allin’s portion of the scrum. He referenced Sting saying he wanted more time with Jericho in the ring, and he challenged the duo to a Tornado Tag Team Match on the June 28 episode of AEW Dynamite. Jericho stated that he would bring back The Painmaker character for the bout.
Tony Khan agreed to book the bout if everyone involved gets cleared to compete.
As previously announced, Wednesday’s show will feature an Owen Hart Foundation Cup Women’s Tournament match, as Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. will face Ruby Soho. The bout will be a rematch of the finals of the inaugural tournament, where Baker beat Soho at AEW Double or Nothing 2022.

- Tornado Tag Team Match: Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara vs. Darby Allin & Sting
- Owen Hart Foundation Cup Women’s Tournament: Britt Baker vs. Ruby Soho
