WrestleZone spoke with ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry ahead of his match with SANADA at Forbidden Door. Perry spoke about making the most of his opportunities and having Tony Khan believe in him, noting that he’s come through every time.

“I think Tony has been very generous and given me a lot of opportunities. And I think you’re always going to have the people who kind of want to take away or try and diminish things,” he explained, “I feel like pretty much all the time, I’ve delivered on what I’ve been given.

“I think maybe people were a little bit surprised that my first introduction to the world of New Japan is going to be going for the Heavyweight Championship. But it is what it is. I’m not going to not take the opportunity, and I’m stoked to be able to do that on such a big stage especially. From what I have seen, New Japan has a lot of great guys that I would I love to go to Japan [to work with]. I’ve never been, and I think that’s on the bucket list for sure. It means a lot to me that Tony has that confidence in me, and I definitely going into it, want to deliver on that for him.”
