Fuego Del Sol will be hitting the open market.
Fuego Del Sol announced that he will no longer be under contract with All Elite Wrestling as he will become a free agent. In a video posted to his social media accounts, Fuego Del Sol said his contract is set to expire and he’ll be free to take bookings beginning July 1.
“Hello, world. As of July 1, my time with All Elite Wrestling will have come to an end and I will officially become a free agent. However, I am proud to say that I have been cleared to the ring from injury and I am now accepting bookings any and everywhere.”
Fuego went on to thank All Elite Wrestling for his time there and put over how much work went into putting the shows together. Fuego also thanked his fans, telling them that “this scrawny kid in a mask” never would have made it as far as he did without them.
Fuego Del Sol made sporadic appearances for AEW and ultimately signed with the company in August 2021. Fuego has not been seen on AEW programming since he lost to Juice Robinson on the February 20 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation.
Prior to getting cleared, he had been sidelined due to a foot injury. Fuego later revealed that his foot has been fractured in five different places.
