Jeff Hardy is reportedly set to take some time away from AEW, at least from in-ring competition.
Fightful Select reports that Hardy will not be competing during AEW’s series of TV tapings in Canada. Hardy is unable to get into Canada due to his 2022 DUI arrest. As a result, he has been written off of television for the time being.
AEW will kick off an eight-show tour in Canada with the June 24 episode of AEW Collision and won’t return to the United States until Dynamite on July 19. AEW could potentially have Hardy do some pre-taped segments during this period.
On the June 21 episode of AEW Dynamite, The Guns defeated Jeff and Matt Hardy. Jay White and Juice Robinson attacked The Hardys after the bout. Prior to Wednesday’s show, Hardy had wrestled a few times since his return in April 2023, and he also competed at live events.
