Jim Ross had a rough night at the office last night during AEW Collision and it did not go unnoticed from fans around the country. Ross took to Twitter after the show to address the criticism by saying, “I apologize for the way I sounded tonight. Going to step away to heal. Thanks for your support.”
Ross had told fans earlier yesterday morning that he suffered a hard fall on Saturday morning before departing for Chicago. Nigel McGuinness and Kevin Kelly called Collision with Ross only joining the pair for the main event of the night. AEW initially revealed that Ross would join the pair for the main event every week to provide ‘expert analysis’.
During the portion where Jim Ross joined the show, there were audible issues with his voice and moments where it was difficult to understand what he was trying to say. It remains to be seen who will fill the void, if anyone, during his time away from calling the action.
