Samoa Joe says CM Punk and The Elite are grown men, and whether they figure it out or not, it’s between them.
CM Punk has been absent from AEW since he made controversial remarks at the AEW All Out 2022 post-show media scrum and got into a brawl with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. Punk will make his long-awaited return on the premiere episode of AEW Collision on June 17, and the wrestling world continues to buzz about his issues with The Elite.
Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Joe was asked to share his thoughts on the feud between Punk and The Elite and whether it stemmed from a generational gap.
“This isn’t a divide, it’s an argument between men,” Joe said. “All those dudes don’t represent the entire genre of their generation. They have their own issues and their own problems. I don’t think it’s that deep. They’re grown-ass men. They have disagreements, they can figure it out or not. That’s between them.”
Joe and Punk will clash on the June 17 episode of AEW Collision; Punk and FTR will face Joe, Jay White, and Juice Robinson. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
