MLW Fusion Results – June 15, 2023: Taya Valkyrie Defends Against Delmi Exo

MLW Fusion Results – June 15, 2023

This week’s episode of MLW Fusion kicked off with a hype package for tonight’s main event between Taya Valkyrie and Delmi Exo for the MLW World Women’s Featherweight Championship.

AKIRA defeated Lince Dorado and Lio Rush to become the new MLW World Middleweight Champion

  • AKIRA hit the Death Penalty on Lince Dorado and scored the pinfall win to become the new MLW World Middleweight Champion.

It’s announced that Jacob Fatu has been cleared to compete and will get his match against John Hennigan next week for the MLW National Openweight Championship.

A random video package plays for Microman, there is no reason given as to why.

They play a video package for The Calling, which seemingly confirms that Mandy Leon will be part of the faction going forward.

Sam Adonis (w/ John Hennigan) defeated Willie Mack

  • Thanks to a distracting assist from John Hennigan, Sam Adonis was able to take control of the match and hit a 450 splash off the top rope to secure the pinfall victory.

Mance Warner is brought out onto the stage for an interview while Adonis and Hennigan are still in the ring. Before the interview can really get going, Adonis approaches and gets his face screaming out him stealing his moment and that he doesn’t belong in Major League Wrestling.

Warner spits beer in Adonis’ face, which resulted in him getting beat up by both men. They take Warner back to the ring and proceeded to choke him with a leather strap. Eventually, referees and security come out to break the incident up.

They play a backstage promo from Taya Valkyrie where the audio keeps cutting out. They go to cut, and Valkyrie throws a fit and says this is the reason she’s leaving the company because of issues like this.

The commentary team states that MLW is considering steep fines for Sami Adonis and John Hennigan based on their actions against Mance Warner earlier on in the show.

Delmi Exo defeated Taya Valkyrie (w/ John Hennigan) to become the new MLW World Women’s Featherweight Champion

  • Delmi Exo won the title by hitting the Delmi Driver on Taya Valkyrie to score the pinfall victory.

Delmi Exo celebrates with her newly won championship as MLW Fusion goes off the air.
