The filming for Bad Bunny‘s El Muerto has been delayed.
Former WWE 24/7 Champion and widely popular music star Bad Bunny is set to star in the film about the fairly obscure Spider-Man villain. The process of making the movie has hit an obstacle, and it may not be able to make its original release date of January 12, 2024.
As reported by Klein Felt of The Direct, El Muerto has a new start date for filming. Per a production list on the Film & Television Industry Alliance (FTIA) website, the Spider-Man spin-off film is set to start filming in Los Angeles on August 7. The changed date likely comes in response to the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike in Hollywood, which has caused various other delays.
Additionally, with Madame Web, another Spider-Man movie from Sony, set to premiere in February 2024, the circumstances could lead to a logical delay for El Muerto.
Bad Bunny recently returned to WWE and defeated Damian Priest in a high-profile match at WWE Backlash.
